Every day in
our life, we converse with the people that surround us, for them to understand what
we ought to say and for us to express ourselves and vice versa. Necessarily,
communication is very much important as I cannot imagine how I will live if
there is no one to talk to about how I feel.
In this
particular topic, I learned that having the ability of good communication
skills plays a vital role in a laboratory management. Managers need not only be
good communicators but also they should know how to express the given
information to everyone because conflicts may occur especially when people of
different culture or generations work together in a company or system.
Leadership - Prelims
Leadership
is very important in maintaining the efficiency of the workplace. The leader
takes the big part of a pie as he/she is responsible in gathering up his people
and come up with a plan. Usually, the leader initiates the action. He/she must
also be the source of motivation of his/her workmates or employees, crediting
them for a job well done also, providing guidance to his coworkers when in need
of help. Coordination is a key to a good leader in a laboratory management as
he/she should balance their managerial goals to his personal interests.
Management Planning - Prelims
Management planning is very important because it allows the managers to use the company’s resources efficiently and it also helps determine the right goals that will benefit the company in the long run. It also helps managers to express their creativity and innovation. It brings satisfaction to the managers and eventually success to the organization. Planning also helps the organization in achieving realistic goals. Without proper planning, the company will have a hard time in achieving their goals and will experience conflicts within the workplace.

conducting or supervising of something, according to Merriam-Webster
dictionary. In this topic, I have learned that managing is a task that requires
skills of leadership as well as having keen sense to detail because not only it
does involve planning but also has accompanying steps. May it be in business or
in a laboratory, it is relevant to know what goes on about it as this specific
activity aims to work for and by the people. I have familiarized the functions
of management, POCD, which is the core process of having an effective ability
of managing.
